Old Mississippi Brick & Heart Pine, founded in 2001 by Tom Green III, provides reclaimed brick and reclaimed, antique heart pine for discriminating buyers around the world. As one of the largest demolition companies in the United States, Old Mississippi Brick & Heart Pine takes great care in dismantling old, unwanted structures and reclaiming the historically significant, antique brick and heart pine from which they are constructed. Across the South, in Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia experienced workers remove the bolts and nails and mortar from these bricks and timbers. These products are then tested for quality and used for premier homes across the US.
Prior to founding Old Mississippi Brick and Heart Pine Company, Tom worked in the brick distribution business and in the home construction industry. Tom credits his father, Tom Jr., for his strong moral character, work ethic, and attention to detail. Tom tries to instill this same focus in all of his employees at Old Mississippi Brick & Heart Pine.
The company currently employs more than 50 people. Through 2015, the company is reclaiming materials from a large textile mill that it purchased in Southern Virginia. This particular site will yield more than 3 million board feet of heart pine beams, 5 million board feet of heart pine decking, 1 million board feet of maple, and 6 million brick.
Tom is always on the lookout for large, old facilities to ensure a constant supply of quality materials. If you know of a facility in your area that may be for sale, please contact us.
